What your landlord will check
Arlington property managers walk through with a checklist. Here's what they're looking at — and what our move-out cleaning covers.
Kitchen
Oven interior and racks. Stovetop and drip pans. Refrigerator inside and out (empty it first). Dishwasher front. Cabinets and drawers inside. Sink, faucet, and disposal area. Backsplash. Floors including under appliances where reachable.
Bathrooms
Toilet — inside, outside, base, and behind. Tub/shower walls and grout. Sink and vanity. Mirror. Exhaust fan cover. Floors.
Everywhere else
Baseboards. Window sills and tracks. Closet shelves, rods, and floors. Light fixtures and switch plates. Blinds. All floors vacuumed and mopped, carpet edges detailed. Walls spot-cleaned for scuffs.
Don't forget
Remove all belongings — including from storage areas, balconies, and parking spaces. Take photos after cleaning for your records. Return all keys and access devices.
